Is the snug fit intentional?

Yes! To meet U.S. federal safety standards without using flame-retardant chemicals, all sleepwear sizes 12 months and up must be snug-fitting. This design reduces fire hazards and keeps your little bee safe while they dream. For more details on these regulations, you can visit the CPSC website.

What is the Bee Gripper?

The Bee Gripper is an eco-friendly, water-based foam applied to the soles of our Sleepers and Sleep & Play styles to provide gentle, non-slip grip.

Every detail matters when it comes to your little one's safety! Our non-slip grips are

  • Eco-Friendly: Made from recyclable and GOTS-approved materials.
  • Non-Toxic: We use only non-toxic, water-based materials—no harsh chemicals here!
  • Built for Action: They provide great traction for early walkers, ensuring stable steps without traditional, plastic-based grips. It's the safer, sustainable choice for busy little bees

What is TENCEL™ Lyocell?

Honeysoft™ is our newest fabric arrival—a luxuriously soft blend of TENCEL™ Lyocell and organic cotton.

Made from renewable wood pulp, TENCEL™ Lyocell is as green as it is soft! Our closed-loop production reuses 99.8% of the elements needed to create these fibers, resulting in a fabric that is:

  • Gentle & Breathable: Perfect for your little one’s delicate skin.
  • Moisture-Wicking: Naturally manages humidity for total comfort.
  • Planet-Friendly: A responsibly sourced, eco-conscious choice for the next generation.

Is PolarBee™ REPREVE® made from recycled plastic?

We use REPREVE® 100% recycled polyester to create our signature PolarBee™ fabric. Unlike traditional polyester made from oil, REPREVE® is made from recycled post-consumer bottles. This shift to recycled materials allows us to save energy, conserve water, and significantly lower carbon emissions compared to standard manufacturing.

Why Polyester vs Cotton for fleece?

At Burt’s Bees Baby, safety is our absolute top priority. Because fuzzy fabrics like fleece are not naturally flame-resistant, U.S. safety standards require them to be made from polyester with flame-retardant properties.

We’ve raised the bar by ensuring our fleece is 100% recycled and completely free from topical chemical sprays. Instead, we use a safer, phosphorus-based finish built directly into the fabric's fibers. This innovative approach provides the ultimate peace of mind for your family while staying kind to our planet.

What is the thread count on your sheets?

Our crib sheets are crafted from 100% Organic Cotton Jersey, which is a knit fabric.

Do you use flame retardants?

Unlike conventional cotton, our 100% organic cotton is grown without harsh agricultural chemicals. We never use flame  retardants and use only safe, non-toxic dyes to ensure every piece is gentle on sensitive skin.

Where are your baby clothing products made?

Our 100% organic cotton is sourced internationally from trusted partners who lead the way in eco-friendly production. We believe in total transparency, which is why every single piece includes a dedicated label sharing its country of origin and production date It’s our way of ensuring you know the exact story behind the clothes your baby wears.
